As we enter the last days of 2020, it is time to reflect on a special year for us at Kaltimber.
We are very fortunate that, thanks to your support, our high-quality standards and attractive pricing policy, Kaltimber has done very well despite the odds.
Let's get one topic out of the way: Covid-19. This virus has created a worldwide economic wrecking but we are grateful to have done fairly well. We have worked hard to meet the standards our clients are used to, including price-wise.
Our reputation is well established as a company which quality standards are unmatched in the market. Hence, award winning architects have worked with us to bring to life some of the wonderful ideas that their amazingly creative minds have thought of. Their love for high quality wood, and more importantly, for sustainable recycled ironwood, has led to true architectural wonders.
Indonesia is our main market, with Bali heading the love for reclaimed wood decking and others. However, our wood has traveled to Georgia, France, Mauritius, Philippines, Caribbean and many more destinations.
Quality is one thing, but pricing is just as important. We pride ourselves with being the most affordable flooring and decking suppliers in Bali. There isn't a week without talking to someone who thought that they had nailed a great deal on their decking while we have the hard responsibility to tell them that we were cheaper, particularly on our square edges versions.
In 2020 we have also kept our engagement with being a key player in protecting Indonesian rainforests.
We have celebrated our first year as a 100% FSC recycled certified company, and we couldn't be more proud of this commitment to our planet's future. We passed our renewal certification with flying colours, ready to commit further to Indonesian forests protection.
We have salvaged 720+ cubic meters of ironwood from disused structures, hence hoping that we have protected that much new wood from being logged.
Kopral and Shelton, our two sponsored Orangutans are also doing very well and are really happy despite the disabilities they suffered from being shot and electrocuted.
